Bowen Technovation at the New Indiana State Museum.
Bowen Technovation of Indianapolis has accepted contracts to design, provide, and install innovative audio/visual systems and audio/video productions for exhibits in the new 230,000 square foot Indiana State Museum. Total budget for the new museum is $105 million. $35 million is dedicated to exhibits, exhibit electronics, and exhibit construction.
Bowen staff worked on contract in a Design Phase through the year 2001 with world-renown museum exhibit designer Ralph Applebaum and Associates of Manhattan and Electrosonic Systems, Inc. of Toronto in designing the most progressive interactive audio and video systems ever seen Indiana.
The Bowen Project Team integrated these complex systems to work with incredible new audio and video productions being produced by producers from New York, Virginia, and Indiana. Bowen Technovation was also selected as one of these content producers.

"My challenge to the project team to seek out Indiana talent to fashion our new museum resulted in the discovery of Bowen Productions, in our own backyard. The brilliant and practical leadership that the Bowen Group provided in the technology design and the promise of an ongoing partnership, will truly be a major factor in the success of the Indiana State Museum into the future. Bowen Productions continues to be a national player in the world of cutting edge technology design and we feel fortunate to have them on our team."

"The Foundation's board and donors have always been interested in seeing that the funds raised for this project are used to secure designers, vendors and contractors that provide a mix of homegrown talent and national reputation. It turns out that in Bowen Productions, right here in Indianapolis, we had both. In turn, Bowen has helped us identify a variety of additional firms around the state that were good fits to participate in this project -- and many have done so, not only as vendors, but as corporate donors. We're delighted that we have the opportunity for an on-going relationship with a firm that is so accessible."
