About our naming conventions…
AstroFXAudio Systems are available in Standard and Advanced packages with MP (Mid Power) and HP (High Power) versions and for dome sizes up to 30m (100').
We also developed a nice family of SP (Small Planetarium) systems for tight budgets and sites that do not require a full-blown system.

Standard vs Advanced?
Compared to the Standard series systems, the Advanced systems provide more features, a higher quality wireless mic package, additional front-stage microphone jacks, more mixer inputs, and a more advanced, expandable digital audio processing system.

Equivalent dome size MP and HP Standard systems include the exact same “front-end” features, but the HP systems provide more horsepower, larger speakers, etc. |

SP Sound Systems
SP System Configurations
Our SP (Small Planetarium) family of low cost audio systems is specially designed for domes up to 30 feet where excellent quality 5.1 audio is required, but at relatively low volume levels. The primary audio source for these systems is typically an all-dome video/graphics server or a DVD player.
The systems are prewired in our shop in professional racks and shipped to site as complete units with all wiring harnesses attached. This makes for very simple and low cost installation at your site…by your theater technicians, by projection companies who contract us, or by Bowen technicians.
You can arrange delivery of these systems by contacting your Bowen Technovation account representative or through the supplier of your planetarium projection system.

AstroFXAudio SP Standard
These systems are our most basic professional system for 5.1 audio and include:

Our premium AstroFXAudio SW programmable 5.1 multichannel digital audio processor with Bowen programming. Expandable configuration with eight inputs (L-R-C-S-Ls-Rs + Mixer L-R) with eight outputs (L-R-C-S-Ls-Rs+ two available for assistive listening or office monitoring). Provides programmable digital mixing, routing, equalization, delays etc. Specialized show mixes/eqs can be recalled via touch button or via Bowen AstroFXCommander control system. These units are also expandable for future upgrades in your system needs. Two are included automatically in HP bi-amplified systems. |
