Hardware AstroFXCommander utilizes the most advanced hardware available to provide a rock solid automation solution
The SmartPAX QC is the digital hardware core of AstroFXCommander. The show control hardware selected for Bowen Technovation's AstroFXCommander is based on Dataton's advanced SmartPAX QCs. This is the same hardware core featured at The Rose Center in New York. Each SmartPAX QC can control up to four different devices. Every device connected to the SmartPAX QCs is constantly monitored by AstroFXCommander. If, for instance, a slide projector miscycles, AstroFXCommander will detect the miscycle and automatically find the correct slide. Furthermore, the small size of the SmartPAX QCs will free up valuable space in coves, projection galleries, consoles, audio racks, projection pits, or any other location where show control hardware is found. Facilities with existing show control systems can eliminate hundreds of feet of ribbon wire or other cabling connecting control devices.
Every SmartPAX QC is daisy chained to one optically isolated cable. The daisy chain architecture not only eliminates unsightly wires and cables, but it also facilitates easy expansion. Adding new devices to AstroFXCommander is so easy, installation and configuration can be done in as little as five minutes!
Devices are connected to the SmartPAX QCs via intelligent interfaces called Smartlinks. Every SmartPAX QC can be connected to virtually any device, regardless of connection type or protocol.
